Construction activities on Planning Area 9A will begin late July/early
August 2003. The Construction Guidelines section outlines how
activities will occur at the site, as well as when work will begin
and end each day. Specifics will be posted here and updated

Grading activities in Planning Area 9A will be conducted to prepare
the site for the installation of infrastructure, such as roads, water
and sewer lines, underground power lines and flood
control facilities. Grading will occur in phases, and is expected
to take approximately nine to 12 months, with completion
targeted for summer 2004. The first phase of grading is on the
west side of the project. Street improvement work will also
occur on Irvine Boulevard, Jeffrey Road and Trabuco Road, and is
expected to take approximately 12 months.
The Valencia Growers Packing House closed July 1, 2003. The
removal of the building will begin in late July-early August and will
take approximately 3-4 months.
