North Irvine The Irvine Company has been working in concert with K-12 school districts for over three decades to plan the best educational facilities possible to serve new communities. We take pride in our track record of excellence and commitment to quality education and we intend to continue that tradition in North Irvine.

The Northern Sphere plan originally called for three elementary schools and one middle school to be built within the Planning Areas. Woodbury Elementary in Planning Area 9A has opened, and an elementary school is also planned in the future village of Stonegate (9B). In addition, elementary schools are proposed for Portola Springs (Planning Area 6) and Planning Area 5. As a result of projected student populations and the needs of the school district, a middle school is planned for Planning Area 40 , at Jeffrey Road and Trabuco Road.

The Irvine Company is, and has always been, fully committed to helping the Irvine Unified School District accommodate new students generated by our communities. Working cooperatively with the District, The Irvine Company has carefully addressed the need for new school facilities to serve students in a new community that cannot be served by existing schools.

The Company is engaged with the school district to provide financing mechanisms that ensure schools can be built when they are deemed necessary by the school district and provide funds for modernizing existing schools that are designated by the district to serve students from a new community.
